The standard sound system in many cars is fine for the news but does not do your music justice. Speakers
New speakers are usually the first step toward better sound. If your music sounds dull, or starts to crackle as soon as you turn it up, the original speakers are often the cause. We install better speakers in the original positions, as far as possible without changing the look of your interior.
Amplifiers
In most cars, the radio or screen has only a modest built-in amplifier. A separate amplifier gives your speakers more power, so the music stays clear at higher volume instead of distorting. It makes the most sense when your speakers can handle more than the radio delivers. An amplifier needs its own fused power supply and a place where it can stay cool, such as under a seat or in the trunk.
DSP
A DSP, or digital signal processor, controls the sound for each speaker separately. In a car you never sit in the middle, so the speaker closest to you takes over and the sound seems to come from the side. With a DSP, the timing, tone and level of each speaker are adjusted individually, so the sound is back in front of you. It is the next step if you already have good speakers but feel the system as a whole still does not sound balanced.
